The Dark Web part 1
Introduction to the Web
We all use internet in our daily life and find joy in browsing things using Google. Therefore, it is very important to know about the internet. What if I say that all the information on Google, are only 12% of the internet? Yes. We usually think that Google means internet and internet means Google. In Actual, The 84% of the internet is hidden from you. The Internet is huge rather than the browser we use. Google is a Standard-Search Engine. It provides you the information together in query while you search anything on it. The 84% web is like Mystery to us we don’t know about them. Most of us even don’t know about which type of internet we are using. The ‘Web’ is divided into 3 types – Surface Web, Dark Web, and Deep Web. You will be well-known to the Web types and don’t get confused between deep web and dark web further.
Introduction to the Three Types of Web
The internet we use while browsing the internet through Google or any other standard search engine is ‘SURFACE WEB’. And the Internet we get into after Login/Sign in to any website is known as ‘DEEP WEB’. The Deep web is the collection of all the information of a website. Every website’s information is stored in deep web. For Example – When we do online banking, at that particular time we use the deep web to access the information of Our Account which we can also edit. Deep web can only be access through the direct Uniform Resource Locator (URL), and may required password to access it. And the Dark web is something different. You can never access dark web with your standard browser which contains standard search engine. The ‘DARK WEB’ provides multi-layer protection to the users. The Dark web is also known as the ‘Onion Router’ for the different layers of protection.
Surface Web
Deep Web
The Deep web is a term that has always been disrepute because of the confusion of people between deep web and dark web. The Deep web also used in our day to day life. The Deep web is also known as the invisible web or hidden web. The deep web is a part of the ‘surface web’, but data and information on deep web never get indexed by google or any standard search engine. The Deep web is the source of all the data and account information of the users. The Database information is kept in the deep web. The Contents of Deep Web are behind the front-end of a website. In other words, the information including your account information, personal data, or the database contents of every website is hidden behind the Hyper Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) forms. The commonly used in our daily life information that no one can access rather than us with password or other security codes such as Web – based email, online banking, and browsing history of your browser. And the private access social-media pages and profiles are also kept in the dark web. Additional Example, Some web-based forums that requires registration/sign in to view the contents are also protected by the deep web. The contents on deep web must required authentication to surf it. It can be only accessed directly by Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or Internet Protocol (IP) address; most of the information on deep web is protected by password for the security reasons. The Computer-Scientist Michael Bergman is credited with wining the term Deep Web in the year of 2001 as a search-indexing term. Invalid source specified.
Dark Web
Finally, the time has come to know about the main topic “Dark Web”. What is Dark Web? Well, Dark web is totally different from the above two types of web – Surface web and Deep web, that we just studied previously. Dark web is the darkest side of the Ocean. The Dark web is also known as Onion web. The name “Onion Web” is given to dark web because it provides the multi-layer protection to the users and hosted websites as the peel layer of an Onion. The user and the website host remains very safe because of the multi-layer protection feature provided by onion web browser. The dark web is legal as it has many advantages rather than drugs smuggling, red room, child pornography, illegal RDX smuggling, etc. But Yes, Dark web is a huge anonymous market of illegal things. Dark web was made public for users’ privacy but the result obtained was a bad one. During the surfing of dark web, none can track or trace your location. But, always remember to keep your GPS (Global Positioning System) as well as your GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) turned off because one of the both is enough to track anyone’s location. Dark web is also good for your internet privacy.
